After 35 years, the Bürgerhaus Geithain and Schaubühne Lindenfels are bringing cinema back to the town of Geithain, located between Leipzig and Chemnitz. At last, big emotions and big pictures on the big screen. Cinema as a shared experience. And in the very place where the magic of cinema once made history in Geithain: where the legendary “Die Filmbühne” cinema opened its doors from 1956 to 1990.

From 15 October 2025 onwards, we will regularly screen selected films for audiences of all generations in the auditorium of today’s Bürgerhaus.
