ТЕАТР ДРАМАТУРГІВ - Theatre in Exile
On 12 March 2022, a new theatre for playwrights, the театр драматургів (Theatre Dramaturhiv), was due to open in Kyiv. It was to be run by a collective of 20 Ukrainian playwrights under the artistic direction of Maksym Kurochkin. Their aim: to bring new texts to the stage and, in doing so, set contemporary material alongside the classical canon of Ukrainian theatre.
The opening plans were shattered on 24 February 2022, when the Russian army launched its war of aggression against Ukraine. Like millions of other Ukrainians, the members of the театр драматургів were torn from their everyday lives.
ТЕАТР ДРАМАТУРГІВ – THEATRE IN EXILE
The Schaubühne aims to provide the authors of the театр драматургів, now scattered across Europe, with a base for their work and a temporary place to call home. What began with regular readings has since developed into a diverse series of readings and performances, complemented by curated guest performances. Since May 2022, the Schaubühne has been working together with the Kyiv theatre on this series, providing a stage in exile for the extensive body of work by contemporary Ukrainian artists. In staged readings and multimedia performances, the artists process their impressions of the war and their experiences of exile.

ТЕАТР ДРАМАТУРГІВ
12 березня 2022 року в Києві мало відбутися відкриття Театру драматургів - нового авторського театру, який очолить колектив з 20 українських драматургів під художнім керівництвом Максима Курочкіна. Їх мета: вивести на сцену нові тексти і таким чином протиставити класичному канону українського театру сучасний матеріал.
Плани відкриття були зруйновані 24 лютого, коли російська армія розпочала агресивну війну проти України. Як і мільйони інших українців, драматурги театру були відірвані від свого нормального життя. Зараз вони воюють на фронті, стають волонтерами або тікають разом зі своїми сім'ями.
ТЕАТР ДРАМАТУРГІВ - ТЕАТР У ВИГНАННІ
Schaubühne хоче запропонувати авторам театру драматургів, які зараз розкидані по всій Європі, робочу базу і тимчасовий порт приписки. З травня 2022 року ми вже реалізуємо з ними серію інсценізованих читань з метою налагодження постійного партнерства з Київським театром.
Після цього першого етапу співпраці наші українські колеги візьмуть на себе частину нашого театру і програму на першу половину 2023 року - Schaubühne Lindenfels стане їхнім театром у вигнанні.
Тут автори продовжуватимуть свою роботу, писатимуть нові тексти, плануватимуть і репетируватимуть театральні проекти та куруватимуть програму гостьових виступів. Таким чином, вони також готують перший "повоєнний ігровий план" для театру драматургів у Києві.
