As they make their way across the Altiplano, the Atacama Desert and a few cities, the migrants attempt to reach the interior of Chile. The film succeeds in creating a moving parable about those who arrive and those who are already settled. Painfully beautiful landscape shots stand in stark contrast to the ugly face of xenophobia. In front of the camera, belongings are set ablaze as an angry mob takes to the streets and attacks those seeking protection. Powerful images bear witness to the horror on the faces of people who, after a journey of thousands of kilometres, find themselves with nothing but empty hands and are ultimately searching for just one thing: a life with dignity.
