Residenz Schauspiel Leipzig, Schaubühne Lindenfels und LOFFT – DAS THEATER veranstalten in der Spielzeit 2026/27 bereits zum vierten Mal gemeinsam KATAPULT, die Performance Plattform Leipzig.

Gefördert werden experimentelle Vorhaben, die innovative performative Darstellungsformen hinsichtlich gesellschaftlich relevanter Themenfelder erforschen. KATAPULT möchte die Künstler:innen ausdrücklich dazu ermutigen, neue Arbeitsweisen und Formate auszuprobieren, die ihre bisherige Performance Praxis erweitern oder vertiefen. Die Plattform fördert darüber hinaus den Austausch und die Vernetzung der Beteiligten und begleitet die individuellen Arbeitsprozesse durch dramaturgische Beratung sowie organisatorisch-technische Unterstützung.

Die entstehenden Performance-Formate werden vom 23. - 27. Juni 2027 in einem gemeinsamen Programm präsentiert, das die unterschiedlichen Orte, Künstler:innen und Aufführungsformate in einem langen Performance-Wochenende zusammenführt. Die Ausschreibung richtet sich an Künstler:innen und freie Gruppen mit einem Arbeitsschwerpunkt in Leipzig. 

Für die Bewerbung sind eine kurze Darstellung der Projektidee im Kontext vorangegangener Arbeiten sowie ein künstlerischer Lebenslauf erwünscht. Reine Gastspielvorhaben oder Wiederaufnahmen sind von der Bewerbung ausgeschlossen. Konzepte für ortsspezifische Arbeiten außerhalb der drei Häuser sind ebenfalls willkommen.

Residenz Schauspiel Leipzig, Schaubühne Lindenfels and LOFFT – DAS THEATER are jointly organizing KATAPULT – Performance Platform Leipzig for the fourth time in the 2026/27 season. 

KATAPULT supports experimental artistic projects that explore innovative forms of performance. The platform explicitly encourages artists to test new working methods and formats that expand, challenge, or deepen their existing performance practice. In addition to production support, KATAPULT fosters exchange and networking among the selected artists. The participating projects are accompanied throughout their development with dramaturgical as well as organizational and technical support. 

The resulting performance formats will be presented from June 23–27, 2027, within a joint program that connects the different venues, artists, and formats in an extended performance weekend across the city. 

The call for applications is aimed at artists and independent groups whose work is based in Leipzig. Applications should include: a brief description of the project idea in relation to the applicant’s previous artistic work, an artistic CV. Please note that guest performances or revivals of already presented works are not eligible. Proposals for site-specific projects outside the three venues are explicitly welcome.
